The Worlds First and Only Hand Hygiene Monitoring System designed to assure a near 100% hospital hand hygiene protocol
compliance with the World Health Organization's {WHO} 5 Moments for Hand Hygiene, by all health care workers, support staff and visitors via prevention, electronic detection
and documentation of contamination of patients caused by contact with non-sterile hands.
Included Features;
Revoluntionary patented technology provides a means of monitoring actual patient contamination in real-time. Opposed to conventional RTLS {Real Time Location Systems} which simply monitor room entry and care-giver hygiene status with RFID badges, this unique electronic monitoring system
is based on the proprietary concept of monitoring the "Point of Care" of a patient by detecting the presence or near presence of a person in contact with a patient or their
associated medical apparatus such as bed, IV, or ventilator. While this patented capability is in itself revolutionary, the system also includes the capability of determining
if the person in contact with the patient has recently sanitized their hands. Digital and graphic displays with pre-recorded audio provide behavior modifying feedback while
showing the hygiene status of health care workers and visitors alike. The identity of those in violation or compliance with institutional hand hygiene protocol can be determined
either by interactive identifying badges or forensic video recordings while generating detailed compliance records to assist with administrative evaluations of current hygiene programs.
Microprocessor Controlled;
Active non-invasive electronic monitoring of the patient and "patient care area" provides the best institutional assurance of a safe and sterile environment. Micro-processor
controlled capacitive proximity detection provides continual 24/7 "Point of Care" patient monitoring, requiring no direct or indirect hospital staff intervention.
The proprietary capacitive sensing technology, incorporated within our monitoring system, is compatible with legacy RTLS monitoring and surveillance systems while proving a means
whereby the wearing of a monitoring badge by the health care worker is optional. When implemented, programmable documentation routines and auto-activated customized hygiene procedure monitoring
provide hygiene surveillance record keeping per CMS requirements.
Unlimited Options;
The Safe-Hands monitoring system incorporates a plug and play modular design. This feature provides the ability to easily and progressively implement many of the currently available
options and future upgrades to be offered. Designed with functional backward compatibility in mind, these monitoring and record keeping capabilities may be incorporated
on a progressive and cost effective "as needed" systems upgrade" program. Periodic reviews of institutional requirements and availability of ever changing key
technologies will keep the system at the forefront of hygiene monitoring and surveillance.
Easy Setup;
The monitoring system, providing sub-centimeter resolution, is positioned in a small assembly requiring just a single communication access point for Wi-Fi surveilance integration. Sensor area network modules provide remote status indications and readouts
while utilizing color coded animated displays associated with digital imaging detectors and recorders. The Safe-Hands Hygiene Monitoring System allows for the rapid
and easy implementation of an institution wide program to meet current and pending federal and state guidelines regarding hospital based hand hygiene protocol
compliance and record keeping.
